I Did This

We all know Korra's going to have her emotionally taxing episode too; say, the one where both Mako and Bolin get electrocuted and then she blames herself for their wounds or whatever. Anyway, a short fanfic from yours truely? Why not?:

"Korra, come inside," Tenzin said over the beating of the rain. Korra didn't answer. She clutched her head and pulled at her hair without making a sound. The pressure was building in her throat, heart and stomach- she almost couldn't contain it. The pain was so horrid that she actually cried, the tears mixing with the rain before they could be seen.
"Korra-"
"ARGH," She screamed and screamed and beat her fists on the ground where the ice chipped and flew in different directions.
Tenzin watched sadly. When she seemed to have blown off a little steam, he touched her shoulder, "Korra-" He began again before she shrugged off his hand.
"Don't try and reconcile me, Tenzin! I did this! I hurt them! IT'S MY FAULT!"
"Mako and Bolin will be fine," He tried to assure her. "The surgeons said they just need rest. Now come-"
"Rest and medicine and physical therapy and TIME! A year! A whole year!" She screamed, not necessarily to Tenzin, "They won't be fully healed for a year! Why did I have to get them into this? They were happy without me, before I ever showed up and ruined EVERYTHING!" She stomped away from Tenzin, still yelling. The puddles at her feet turned to ice with every step.
Tenzin siged, rubbed his face and followed. The things he did for the avatar...
"Korra- and listen to me this time-" He stopped her before she blew up again. "Mako and Bolin are strapping young men. They knew what they were getting into when they went with you yesterday. They knew the consequences and accepted them. Nothing happened that they didn't expect.
"Now, I'm not going to say that you weren't wrong approaching Amon without any help or planning, but I will say that it is not your fault that Mako and Bolin are hurt. I'll also say that you must stop beating yourself for their injuries, because you have some of your own and you need to be DRY and get rest."
Her panting calmed to hiccups. She wiped her eyes (not that it did much in the rain) and nodded at him, "How can you do it, Master Tenzin? How can you stay so detached from pain?"
"I don't- I just don't let it rule me. We've all heard stories of the people who let pain guide them and I have no intentions of following in their footsteps. Now come; Pema has some hot leechi juice waiting for you. You can have a cup and start your own healing with a decent night's sleep."
They turned to walk back to the house. Tenzin put a protective hand on her shoulder.
